Designed with Safety in Mind
Little Grocer was designed with children in mind. I have intentionally kept the number of very small parts to a minimum and opted for simple, sturdy shapes that are durable and comfortable for little hands.
However, as with any toy containing small components, adult supervision is recommended, especially for younger children. Please use your own judgment regarding the suitability of the set for your child.
Assembly Recommendations
For additional durability and safety, I recommend permanently securing smaller components with a small amount of super glue or your preferred adhesive during assembly. This helps prevent parts from coming loose during play and ensures the set remains sturdy for years of imaginative fun.
Required Hardware
To bring the cash register to life, this project uses 16 mechanical keyboard switches to provide satisfying, spring-loaded button presses.
Hardware Required
• 16× MX-style mechanical keyboard switches
No soldering or electronics are required. The switches are used purely as mechanical components to create realistic, clickable buttons that greatly enhance the play experience.
Printing Notes
All parts have been designed with ease of printing in mind and require little to no support material. The models are optimized for multicolor printing while maintaining simple, robust geometry suitable for everyday use.
I hope you and your little shopkeepers enjoy bringing Little Grocer to life.
